Born in 2194CS on the planet Doja in the Ukio System, Chappu entered the Monastery of Eternal Winds as a youngling. Carved into the planet's cliffs long ago, the monastery houses monks who train in martial arts and the Rowkar spiritual path. Chappu immediately distinguished himself with a gruff, no-nonsense approach to his training. However, the Rowkar Grand Sages could still recognize his dedication to the path of the Rowkar through this cold demeanor early on.

While his grumpy attitude often distanced him from his peers, his skills in martial arts and loyalty to the Rowkar earned their respect. His combat discipline is rooted in the Four Winds, the core tenets governing Rowkar life. For his final rite of passage, many expected Chappu to undertake the Northkar Trial of Self-Control due to his strict discipline. Instead, he selected the Westkar Trial, the Wind of Peace, which centers on cultivating inner calm and defeating opponents through restraint rather than brute force. He completed the trial, earning the title "Chappu the Clear Sky."

Following his training, Chappu served as a sage of the Monastery of Eternal Winds until the retirements of Dulka the Rising Sun and Sopho the Rainborn. Called to uphold the Rowkar legacy, he traveled to the Galacticana alongside Galell the Morning Child. There, they joined Kadoru the Proud Mountain, who took on the role of mentor for the new monks. Chappu’s combat experience and technical mastery quickly made him a revered competitor aboard the Galacticana.

He won his debut Proving Grounds tournament, securing a match for the Eternal Championship against the "Reborn King" Daxen Baytorrow. Though he lost the bout, Chappu secured a second Proving Grounds victory and a rematch, which ended in another defeat to Baytorrow. Despite entering the tournament across multiple seasons and earning further opportunities to challenge the champion, the title eluded him. Now competing at an advanced age, Chappu remains an active and highly respected fighter aboard the Galacticana. With Galell announcing his upcoming retirement and return to Doja, Chappu has chosen to stay behind to mentor the incoming generation of Rowkar monks and preserve the teachings of the Four Winds.
