Before the Federation Spaceway existed, the collapse of an immense black hole produced the parasitic entity known as Herzegor. Their characteristics were unlike anything seen before. They were not a creature of flesh and blood, but a small, spherical pod, drifting through space aware but powerless. They eventually discovered a way to latch onto sentient hosts and splice directly into their nervous systems. These takeovers permanently erased the original identities of their victims, leaving behind controlled shells for Herzegor to manipulate. With each possession, their hunger for purpose grew stronger, never satisfied. They drifted from planet to planet across the Federation Spaceway, feeding on and discarding bodies like garments.
Despite their nihilistic nature, Herzegor possessed a dark sense of humor, viewing life as an absurd joke. To Herzegor, morality was an illusion: a fragile construct created by weak minds to shield themselves from the harsh truths of the universe. This journey continued for millennia until the parasite tracked heavy emotional energy signatures across the Federation Spaceway, leading them directly to the Galacticana.
When the ICOF detected the parasite sneaking aboard the vessel, officials offered a deal: Herzegor could enter the fighting circuit on the condition that they never infect or possess any active competitor on the roster. At first, Herzegor balked at these restrictions, but the allure of competition proved too great to resist. Agreeing to the terms, Herzegor began to craft different identities, earning the moniker "Slayer Symbiote." Throughout the ages of the Federation Spaceway, the "Slayer Symbiote," Herzegor, assumed numerous forms. The parasite's pathological persistence and violent legacy, built over seasons of competition with various hosts, eventually drew the notice of the Markove Brotherhood, a major bounty hunting syndicate seeking to bolster their influence throughout the Federation Spaceway by using the Galacticana.
Herzegor’s latest incarnation, Sebast, debuted in 2769CS. Herzegor has become one of the circuit's most adept competitors and has proven their worth time and time again. Their quick wit and dark humor, combined with the combat skills of their current host, make the "Slayer Symbiote" one of the most volatile threats on the Galacticana roster.
