Hok Zion was born in 2684CS on Mordethal, a planet in the Dosni Jeda System renowned for its unique red flora and beautiful silver spires. From an early age, Hok Zion, alongside his twin brother Kol, was raised under the holy doctrines of the Words of Kryll, a faith centered on the idea that violence is a sacred condition of life. The twins trained aboard the Oblivionought, a massive dreadnought serving as both warship and temple. Under the guidance of the Supreme Exemplars, an order of clerics and combat trainers, the brothers underwent strict physical conditioning. Their constant sparring fostered an intense sibling rivalry that quickly forged them into violent harbingers of doom.

The brothers built a reputation as enforcers, which was solidified during the Siege of Osamu III, a world in the Leacaster System that defied Kryll's doctrine. Serving as Kryll Shock Troopers, the pair tore through enemy lines with cutthroat efficiency. Hok distinguished himself through overt sadism, deriving genuine enjoyment from inflicting pain and terror on the opposing forces. Their military record grew further during the Battle of Waseema Prime in the Wallbud System, where they violently dismantled a heavily fortified command bunker.

However, their bond was forever shattered on the fortress planet of Kanjiro in the Tondran System. Following a grueling campaign against local insurgents, Kol renounced the Words of Kryll, abandoning his faith, his home, and his brother. Shaken by the betrayal, Hok turned his anger inward, doubling down on his devotion to Kryll's violent tenets and adopting the moniker "Soulscorn." His first solo mission took him to the mining colony of Gustav in the Hatik Gree System to recover sacred scrolls. Even though the colony had already surrendered and permitted the search, Hok tore through its defenses and executed its leader, Bron Morgara, with gratuitous brutality. It is believed that during this mission, Hok received news that Kol had joined the Ebony Armada and married its ruler, Queen Rynurr.

Recognizing his brutal dedication, the Supreme Exemplars assigned Hok to represent the The Words of Kryll aboard the Galacticana. There he joined its leader, Vahdran Pharos the "Vindictive Vindicator," and Thrax the "Infernal Engine," a ComBot built to preach Kryll's philosophy. Debuting on the Galacticana circuit in 2776CS, Hok Zion steps into the arena to punish his opponents and broadcast the violent gospel of Kryll across the Federation Spaceway.
