Neva Basuko was born on the planet Nala in the Bergama System in 2743CS. The planet is a mesmerizing sphere of cerulean hues, composed almost entirely of deep blue oceans. Beneath its tranquil surface, a breathtaking aquatic landscape thrives, where colossal underwater cities encased in massive translucent bubbles float gracefully amidst vibrant coral reefs.

As a youngling, Neva was surrounded by Nala's wonders. Her family was entrusted with the safety of their community, with her father serving as the Grand Keeper of their city's biosphere. Known for her cheerful outlook and positivity, Neva’s love for the ocean manifested as an extraordinary talent for swimming. She moved through the water with a grace and agility that seemed almost supernatural, as if she were one with the currents.

Her natural gift quickly gained notice in local competitions, leading her to the Youngling Hydro Racing League, the pinnacle of aquatic sport on Nala. With incredible speed and fluid movements, Neva dominated the league. Her ability to navigate the courses earned her the moniker "Wavewraith." Her charismatic personality and free-spirited nature also won her a massive following on the social platform WahLa, where she shared glimpses of her life exploring hidden coral caves and her rigorous training regimen.

Despite her success, Neva’s path took an unexpected turn after a triumphant run at the Hydromania Sprint Classic. For three consecutive race circuits, she fell short of victory. This humbling experience led her to question her direction. Believing she had outgrown the confines of racing, she yearned to push her limits in new ways. Neva stunned her fans by announcing her retirement from competitive racing to seek new challenges.

Her journey led her to Valara the “Luzulian Leviathan,” a legendary combatant aboard the Galacticana. Valara saw Neva’s potential and personally invited her to train at her private dojo on the planet Lu Zula in the Elair System. There, Neva underwent demanding training that reshaped her approach to combat. Under Valara's mentorship, Neva developed a unique fighting style that emphasizes speed, agility, and powerful, stiff kicks, creating a form of martial arts as fluid and mesmerizing as her racing had been.

During her time at the dojo, Neva formed close bonds with fellow trainees the “Iris of Othyrious” Jayla Frenzy and “Shatterjaw Serra” Gato. She and Serra became friendly rivals, spurring each other to new heights, while her friendship with Jayla grew from their shared experiences in competitive sports. Together, the three developed a strong sense of camaraderie, shaping themselves into a powerful team. With Valara’s mentorship and the support of her new teammates, Neva joined the Galacticana as part of The Valaraguard.

This will be Neva Basuko’s debut season as the team leader of The Valaraguard. Alongside Jayla and Serra, she is ready to compete against the Federation Spaceway's most elite fighters, sharing their journey with fans on WahLa.
