Markaru was born in 2754CS on Kurzil, a planet in the Wielend System that was once an energetic paradise known for its colorful rainforests and clear waters. The native Ichor species, which included Markaru and his younger brother Zyzar, held a deep cultural belief that all life on the planet was intertwined.

This connection was broken when a sickness began to spread across Kurzil, causing vegetation to wither, oceans to turn a sickly green, and the soil to become barren. As their homeworld slowly died, the Ichor fled on massive KaVazi Ranger Rescue Ships. It was during this exodus that Markaru's uncle, Rugo, returned to search for his twin brother, Ogur. He did not find him. Instead, within the ruins of their family homestead, Rugo discovered his two youngling nephews. He took Markaru and Zyzar with him aboard the last rescue ship to leave the dying planet.

Markaru and Zyzar's journey with their uncle Rugo took them to Azurea IV in the Cufrod System, a tropical paradise that reminded them of their lost home. It was on Azurea IV that Dekuba Wrestling, a high-energy competition that combines grappling with the artistry of dance captivated the brothers. Markaru’s energetic and sociable personality made him a natural fit for Dekuba Wrestling, and he quickly became a fan favorite for his cheerful and pure-spirited nature. His optimism, even in the face of great challenges, earned him the moniker the "Dynamo Kid". While playful outside the ring, Markaru was a fierce competitor within it, driven by the challenge and personal growth that fighting brought him. He and Zyzar rose through the ranks of the Dekuba circuit, with their uncle Rugo eventually joining them in competition. Markaru's memorable clashes with rivals like Nimvara Newvein, Mar-Mak the Stack, and Razeon the Blade King solidified his reputation as a formidable Dekuba wrestler.

Together, Markaru, Zyzar, and Rugo formed the wrestling team known as The Barrel Club. They traveled from island to island on Azurea IV, participating in Dekuba Wrestling competitions and becoming local celebrities known for their high-energy matches and the wild parties that followed their victories . The unique and exotic fruits of Azurea IV eventually caught the attention of the Dosi corporation, which wanted to create a new line of drinks. Recognizing the trio's connection with the islands and their inhabitants, Dosi offered The Barrel Club a sponsorship to become the faces of their new Barrel Soda line. The campaign was a massive success, and under Dosi's sponsorship, 

Their fame grew when the Dosi corporation, interested in the exotic fruits of Azurea IV, sponsored The Barrel Club to be the face of their new line of drinks. The marketing campaign was a success, promoting drinks like the Quillapple Barrel Blast and Cloudnana Barrel Breeze, which made The Barrel Club even more famous. Dosi eventually realized that the trio's potential was far greater than a planetary audience, which led to The Barrel Club being invited to compete on the grandest stage in the Federation Spaceway: the Galacticana.

Markaru made his Galacticana debut in 2774CS. So far in his career, he has already become a one-time Galactic Champion. As a member of The Barrel Club, alongside his brother Zyzar and uncle Rugo, Markaru continues to bring his boundless energy and competitive spirit to every match aboard the Galacticana.
