The history of The Blight dates back to the Age of Umbara, when three powerful beings named Fuamudd , Thandra, and Persedora appeared. They were known collectively as The Blight, a force of destruction that challenged powerful species across the Federation Spaceway, leaving behind a wake of ruined planets. During a pivotal battle, a coalition of worlds destroyed their Titan Dreadnought Warship, and the original members of The Blight vanished, leaving their three fabled masks behind.
Later, Zephriko Elrid, a Yalzan from Yalzax II in the Gondi Negose System, became obsessed with the myth of The Blight after his own planet was turned into a wasteland during a war. He scoured the Federation Spaceway for the masks, believing that restoring The Blight would give him ultimate knowledge. He eventually found the Scarlet Shroud of Authority, the Jade Mask of Enlightenment, and the Midnight Helm of Chaos.
To resurrect The Blight, he selected three individuals to wear the masks and embody the ancient forces they represented. Hellsa Bellsa, a powerhouse warrior from Aku in the Orenea System, was given the Scarlet Shroud to channel the essence of Authority, driven by an insatiable hunger for greater trials. Quaotik, a cunning intellectual believed to have originated from the knowledge-rich planet of Leetdirg in the Chaar System, received the Jade Mask to embody the precision of Enlightenment, fueled by a singular obsession to unlock the secrets of the universe. Finally, Psyro, a chaotic warrior from the molten planet of Hizial in the Konkiv System, donned the Midnight Helm to mirror the untamed spirit of Chaos, reveling in the unpredictable nature of battle.
In 2767CS, Zephriko brought his new version of The Blight to the Galacticana. He uses the competition as a proving ground to test his chosen warriors and awaken the ancient power within their masks. Each member now wields a legendary mask embodying a specific aspect of this force: Authority, Enlightenment, and Chaos. Hellsa Bellsa, the "Rage King," manifests authority; Quaotik, the "Emerald Cleric," channels enlightenment; and Psyro, the "Novazure Reaper," embodies chaos.
