In 1234UB, the Markove Brotherhood emerged from the dark expanse of the Federation Spaceway. Their presence was established with the sudden appearance of large, monolithic structures known as Markove Sanctums on various planets and space stations. From these bases, the Markove Brotherhood presented a straightforward message: "Our brotherhood brings opportunity. Our brotherhood brings purpose. Our brotherhood brings salvation."
For ages, the Markove Brotherhood has stood as a powerful and often feared institution, holding a tight grip on the bounty hunting trade. It provides a centralized system for regulating the perilous work of tracking and capturing/eliminating acquisitions. The organization offers its members training, equipment, a steady stream of bounties, and a network of contracts. In return for this support, all recruits must swear an oath of absolute loyalty and adhere to the strict Markove Code. Through a network of Markove Sanctums and the subtle manipulation of events, the Markove Brotherhood leverages fear and control to maintain its supremacy across the Federation Spaceway.
Brotherhood Ranks:
Markove Marshal: The leaders for different sectors of the Federation Spaceway who rule over the Markove Sanctums.
Markove Oathkeeper: Individuals working under a Markove Marshal, assisting in the management and assignment of bounties. All completed contracts are turned into them.
Markove Acolyte: This designation is reserved for the most elite and skilled Markove Hunters. They are entrusted with the highest-priority and most dangerous assignments.
Markove Brother: After earning sufficient standing for the Markove Brotherhood and proving their trust, a member ascends to the rank of Markove Brother.
Markove Contractor: The rank-and-file members of the Markove Brotherhood. To join, a prospective hunter typically must successfully complete a registered bounty.
The Markove Code:
The Markove Brotherhood operates under a code of conduct, a set of unwritten rules and professional ethics. Violating the code will result in expulsion or even a bounty being placed on the offending hunter.
Once a contract is assigned to a Markove Hunter, that contract is exclusively theirs. Other Markove Members are forbidden from interfering.
A Markove Hunter is expected to see their assigned bounty through to completion. Backing out or betraying a client is never an option.
Taking a contract or bounty that has been assigned to another Markove Hunter is a direct violation of the Markove Code.
Markove Members are expected to prioritize the Markove Brotherhood's interests and reputation.
Species do not have bounties, only acquisitions do.
No Markove Hunter shall refuse aid to another Markove Hunter in need.
